Sharp Tools Make Successful Schools

Eureka knows how to make things happen! Two state titles and a First Place in Robotics before Christmas is a pretty good way to start the school year. These kinds of wins start in kindergarten and take support from families, teachers, local businesses, and many more. While Eureka was put on the map by being good at cutting things down (like Christmas trees), we have stayed on the map by knowing how to build. Eureka is a town built on principles of hard work, excellence, and teamwork.

Anyone who has ever built anything knows that the right tools make all the difference. If a tool is dull or broken, it needs to be replaced or sharpened. No matter how talented the craftsman, they are limited by the quality of their tools.

Our schools are filled with talented craftsman: teachers that care, educate, and inspire. But, some of their tools need work. The elementary and middle school buildings have been in poor condition for years and have pressing needs that are demanding our attention. This blog is a place for us to share the findings about the buildings, the possible plans for renovation or building, and announcements for places to learn more and let your voice be heard.

If you have any questions or would like to join our town committee to be a part of this process, you can email us at teameurekamt@gmail.com

Our goal is to assess the buildings we have, research building and renovation options, then take a proposal to the school board for a bond to be submitted to the community in the Fall of 2020. Together, we can create a bond that unites the community and gives Team Eureka the best tools possible for continued success, safety, and excellence.
